Two amazing years!!

I truly mean that these last two years, being married to craig, have been amazing. Of course we have our challenges, everyone does, but at the end of the day our love overcomes any of our trials. Craig is truly my best friend, the one I want to share all my thoughts and excitement with. I feel so blessed to be walking through life with him, and starting a family.
Recently I have been sucked in to the reality show "the Bachelor" every monday night. Craig is such a good sport and watches it with me, and even though I get into the show and have my favorite people I would never want to find love that way. People sometimes ask... why do you watch that show? My answer... every time I watch that show It makes me appreciate the relationship that Craig and I have, and that we dont have to be apart of that dating scene again, we found each other and I am so happy. I found the love of my life and we have been married for two AMAZING years, life is great.

Along with being married to the most wonderful man we are so excited to expand our love to our new little baby due in Aug. I cant believe that our family is growing. I am starting to talk to the baby now and trying out our new names "mommy" and "daddy", it feels so good. We are nervous and excited for our new adventure.

So to celebrate our second anniversary, and our last trip before the baby comes we decided to go to California and play at disney land and the san diego zoo. At the first of the year we participated in the disney program where you give a day of service and get a ticket to disneyland.
This was my favorit part of disney... Toon disney, I truly got to act like a kid... Craig got into the spirit. We had to get Craig a churro the only thing he wanted haha.We got completly soaked on splash mountain.we waited in line for 30 mins to ride Peter Pan, the only ride Craig wanted to go on, I dont think it was worth the 2 second ride.Craig wanted to go to the San Diego Zoo, we had such a great time even though it was raining. This was the tram that overlooked the Zoo.Craig loved the gorillas, because they look like him haha just kidding. My favorite animal was the panda, we saw a baby panda eating an apple and it was so cute. Our hotel was within walking distance to the beach, it felt good to put my feet in and get all wet.
Craigs famous silouette picture of me being 4 months pregnant, with the huge waves in the background.

Football, Food, and Romance

This year has been great it seems like every weekend we were so excited to watch as much football as could, so when the superbowl came we were totally excited especially cause we got to know the teams pretty well, and lets just say we were so excited to see new orleans beat peyton manning whoo hoo!!
We went to my sisters house and had so much food it was great. My dad made BBQ dutch oven chicken, we had cabbage salad, stuffed mushrooms, veggie trays, and my father in laws amazing coconut bread so yummy.
The commercials were great except for the one movie trailor of Avatar the last airbender I missed it because I was in the bathroom. Lame so mad!!!
YAY Valentines day!!
I love my Valentine, Craig is my most favorite person in the whole wide world, whenever we are together we always have fun. After a weekend of westerns (not my favorite) craig owed me chick flick weekend and it was great, well except for the lame movie we went and saw... When in rome not so good I was so upset I wasted a chick flick date night on that movie. After that we went to eat at our favorite place Benja's it was were we had our first official date and we have been going for special occasions since, but I was sad because I couldnt have the sushi due to pregnancy... oh well craig promised me once the baby was born that we could go for sushi again.
For valentines day we wanted to show how much we love our families so we made valentine fortune cookies with a little chocolate inside and a fun fortune it was great fun to make, and I think every one liked getting them.
I also wanted to be romantic so I made a yummy molton cake and then took craig to the red rock (where craig proposed) and we had a little picnic with yummy cake and sparkling cider and watched the sunset. I love Craig so much I am so blessed to have him in my life, he is my everything I love you craig!!

Baby Demke

I knew I was pregnant as soon as Thanksgiving came, I mean I was at the gym running on the treadmill and started bawling over an infomercial, that is not normal. So come the first of December I took a pregnancy test (4 to be exact) and was consumed with such peace and happiness I can not explain, Craig on the other hand it took him a day to let it all sink in.
Since that day we could not keep it a secret, we wanted to shout it off the rooftops we were so excited. Many thought we were crazy for telling everyone with only one month down but ehh, we didnt care they get to suffer with us haha.
Then the morning sickness came and boy was that not fun, I mean I am not used to having to get up in the middle of the night to eat some crackers because my stomach is growling at me... not fun. But through it all I have been somewhat consistant in my running and dilligent to get out there, I cant wait for spring so I can run outside for longer distances (I hope). I am so sad that with the Baby's due date Aug 16 I will not be able to run the St. george marathon... oh well there is always next year.
We went to our first Dr. Visit and I couldnt have picked a better Dr. he seems great and I feel more comfortable about it. We were able to get an Ultrasound and see the "little bean" and hear the heart beat. I cant begin to convey how sweet that sight was to see... this is really real!!!
And even though out situation right now (with craig in school) is not ideal we know that this is the right time, the lord has made it known to us many times through prayer and temple attendence, this child is ment to come at this time. Like I said in my earlier post we feel like we have been blessed and are continueing to live our lives the way we need to in order to support this sweet innocent child. We are the happiest parents and cant wait to meet this sweet bundle of joy... so hurry up these months are going by so slow haha!!!

Time is FLYING by!!

Sorry for the lack of Pictures, sad to say that I did not have my camera with me during the holidays, oh well next time.
Thanksgiving was great spending it at Craig's sisters house was alot of people and alot of fun, we played foosball, ping pong, games, and you cant forget the WII... we had alot of fun.
Christmas was another crazy double family holiday, but worth it. We spent Christmas eve with Craigs family eating the most amazing crepes (love them), then woke up extra early to see my nieces and and nephews open their christmas, it is more fun to see cute little kids open gifts.
New years what a blurr I think I ate everything but the kitchen sink, and I paid for it the next day. But playing games and watching the fireworks off my sisters deck was alot of fun.
I love both of my families they are such a blessing to me and Craig and as we close the door on 2009 I cant help but think how blessed we have been. thank you to all and we love you.

Feeling Creative

So lately I have been having alot of fun yard selling with my mom and sisters ( they have been doing it for years, so I get to learn from the best). With all the junk that there is, sometimes there are great finds, and for $3.00 I found the cutest little bench, and with alittle elbow grease I can transform this old bench into a new refurbished bench... I am so excited. I promise I will post the outcome when I am finished haha. Also I thought I would be creative when it came time to sign up for a clock party that my ward was throwing together. I had no idea how much work would go into making this clock but none the less I succeeded (with the help from my sister heather) in making my first vinyl clock, and I thought I would share my creative side.

Halloween

Craig and I had a pretty good Halloween, the weather turned cold, the colors on the leaves were changing, and there was candy everywhere. Now for those of you who know me I love chocolate... I mean I LOVE chocolate, but lately (the last year) I have not craved chocolate like I used to, which is good. Then comes halloween.
Craig and I decided to go to the corn maze this year, because every year craig always says lets go to the corn maze and we never do. So this year we did it, we went with his cousins and ended up getting lost from them when we tried to take some pictures, but we all made it out alive and safe the only problem was it was cold.
For Halloween this year we decided to dress up Craig as the swine flu and me as an old lady looking for her lost dog (which happend to be on my butt). We didnt have a party or anything to go to so we went to my sisters house to see her kids dressed up, and boy were they cute. So that was it, no games, no dancing, just tons and TONS of candy which led to sugar high kids. And no of course I had to restraint when it came to chocolate surrounding me, I ate it thats right I ate it!!

October already!!!

I think I am worse at blogging then I am at writing in my journal, but I need to update it has been a crazy summer!!

We have had a fun time traveling around the state of Utah this summer. We got to spend some time in Moab for July with Craig's family. Other than craig getting sick the day of our 5 hour drive we had fun camping out and then river rafting the colorado river the next day. We were able to paddle in a two man boat alone, it was scary but fun none the less.

Next we were off to Park City for a fun family reunion with the Rushton's. Our sweet Grandma was there and was having such a fun time despite her Alzheimer disease.
Other than traveling we have also been staying close to home, swimming, bbq's, and fun game weekends at the cabin. When the pool was wrecked by Annie we knew the summer was ending.

All summer long we have had our lives turned around while my sweet Grandma suffered from alzheimers. I have been so blessed to be living with my parents during this time, to see my dads love for his mom has been such a blessing. My Grandma passed away in August, no suffering, no more confusion just peace.

And finally after 5 months of training with Geoff for the St. George marathon it finally came. We ran the 5k Swiss days before the race to get prepared, and I was prepared. I ran the marathon with so much excitment I couldnt believe it, I tackled all the hills and won. For the First time in 4 marathons I made it in the time I actually wanted. 4 hours and 30 mins YAY!! so until next year.
